Netflix has been pushing it’s original series in the last few years, and they are not slowing down. In addition to many live action shows (for instance the Marvel series), Netflix has also started to produce a few original animated/anime series. To that end the 80s classic, Voltron, is getting an update, and Voltron: Legendary Defender will be premiering on Netflix June 10th. The first season will be 11 episodes long, with DreamWorks serving as the production company. The show will feature a pretty strong cast and crew, with alumni from The Legend of Korra serving on the development team. Also Steven Yeun, Jeremy Shada, and many others lending their voices to the series. Netflix has already brought some interesting anime to their line up, and have more planned that have received hype. We are excited to see what they do with what is considered a childhood favorite by so many. For better or for worse we’ll know in just a few short days.
