Fireforge Files for Bankruptcy

Fireforge created the movie tie in game for the new Ghostbusters. According to Kotaku they have officially filed for bankruptcy. Apparently their money problems had begun before the release of Ghostbusters. However, the Ghostbusters game was not well received, and was considered a commercial failure. Fireforge has been struggling since before the release. They were developing two games (Zeus and Atlas) and both games have been pulled. Fireforge is involved in lawsuits with the companies planning on publishing the now scrapped games. Honestly Fireforge needed Ghostbusters to pan out, but the game was disappointing across all boards. It’s always sad to hear about a company going under, and we wish the best to the team moving forward.
